Molodyy Theatre

We had the honour of refreshing the identity of the Kyiv National Academic Molodyy Theatre — a theatre that has always stood out for its bold vision, sincerity, and progressive spirit.

To capture the unique character of the Molodyi Theatre as accurately as possible, we spoke with its artistic director, Stanislav Moiseiev, as well as with the theatre’s team and actors. We learned how they see themselves, how they feel, and what kind of atmosphere they want to convey to their audiences.

Melpomene, who quite literally lives within the theatre’s walls, remains at the heart of the identity. She has been renewed while remaining true to herself. Beyond her allegorical meaning, she now carries a metaphorical one as well, symbolising an exchange of gazes, a dialogue between the theatre and its audience, and the very act of looking.
